The Rites

Exploring our unique calling to meet the life cycles of being a woman…

From our first period through to our last, women navigate a monthly rhythm of change tied to hormones and the reproductive system. Women go through a familiar and regular physical and emotional journey each month dictated by hormones and the menstrual cycle. But nested within this regular rhythm are longer distinct passages of womanhood – from puberty and early sexual experiences through to childbirth and motherhood and on to perimenopause and post menopause.

At each entry point to these key passages of womanhood we are met by significant change and an opportunity for transformation on all levels of our being – physically, hormonally, psychologically and spiritually. As such, these times of change can serve as enriching psychological rites of passage for women. We experience challenge, confusion, vulnerability, uncertainty and sometimes an identity crisis. Yet, like any rite of passage, we are asked to lean in, make changes, learn, grow and surrender and by the end we reach a new level of emotional maturity and deeper sense of who we are.

Learn more about the stage of life you are in, understand the physical and emotional changes, and receive some expert guidance and strategies to support your own growth and evolution through our programmes and events.

The importance of honouring your path as a woman

“The significant juncture points of menarche (first period), sexual discovery, childbirth and motherhood and the powerful transition of menopause can be physically and emotionally challenging for women. Yet each of these stages all carry a potent opportunity for women to meet themselves, love themselves and their bodies, and be more authentically true to themselves. When women are in their power, loving and respecting their uniqueness and honouring the wisdom of their body and soul, no matter what stage they are at, anything is possible! ”
